Today I started Week 2's class that Lynn is teaching! If you join me, please post a link to your blog and show me what you've created!!!!
Note: I am not sure why my links will not come up where you can click on them. I have tried the link feature on blogger, but when I post it, the link doesn't even show up! So, just copy and paste the above url and visit the site that way.

Can it be....... SPRING?!!!!
Oh! I do so love chinooks! Today, it got up to a wonderful +8C, and I did some errands with a vest on, but just t-shirt sleeves. If this keeps up, I will be less desperate to leave to go somewhere warm! I can almost hear the robins now!!!!
In the meantime, next weekend the Gallery will be hosting a theme show called, "The Theme is Green". Today I picked up two different bouquets that hopefully will inspire me to capture their wonderful spring essence on paper. A bouquet of white stargazer lilies, and a mixed bunch featuring hydrangea (purple) and a type of allium flower. Combine that with white daisies, carnations and mini green mums, and ta-dah! Beauty. We'll see if my muse is with me in the next couple of days.
I'll try to post my works in progress.
In the meantime, it's back to catching up on my Strathmore Papers Journaling class. Lynn Blinn is the guest instructor this month, and I am really enjoying her ideas!

Ok, it's time for me to go and "create". Hope you are working on something interesting as well!

December 15th, 10 days to Christmas....

GREETINGS everyone! What a day! After temperatures of -32C, a Chinook wind has blessed us with +1C this afternoon. I swear I can hear all outdoor creatures sighing a breath of relief! In the meantime, I am continuing with my Christmas card writing, and buying the odd gift. I haven't been able to use my car (I'm afraid it's seen better days and will be "retired" soon.) A social week is coming up, starting Thursday. I am excited to be going to see John Wort Hannam, and two other musicians, perform here at Carlson's on Macleod. Twilight is playing in town, and despite some people's dislike of this movie, I may just go because I feel like seeing a movie! I am hoping to also catch up on homework for some courses I am involved with. One that has finished that I took on-line (loved it. Misty Mawn is an awesome teacher!) The other is a course with Sharon Williams. Sadly the weather has kept me, and half the class, away from attending the last two sessions! We will return to class again in January. And now, I am off to the local coffee shop to meet a friend. Merry Christmas dear readers, .... and let me know what you are up to! Cheers, Annie
